Tom represents entrepreneurs, high growth companies, and investors in a wide range of transactions including equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, and investments in emerging and middle market companies.

Tom has experience representing both buyers and sellers in M&A transactions, and both issuers and investors in equity and debt financings. In addition, he advises clients on general corporate matters, including entity formation, corporate governance, equity incentive plans, and commercial transactional matters.

  • Healthx, a JMI equity portfolio company, in its sale to Thoma Bravo.*
  • Arena Solutions, a JMI Equity portfolio company, in its sale to PTC for $715 million.*
  • JMI Equity in its majority investment in Jvion, Inc., a healthcare AI company.*
  • TA Associates in its investment alongside Clearlake Capital Group in DigiCert, Inc.*
  • Norwest Venture Partners in several investment transactions.*
  • A cannabis growth operator in its acquisition of several growing facilities and retail locations in Colorado.*

Tom joined Feinberg Hanson in February 2023. He began his career as a corporate associate in the San Francisco office of Goodwin Procter LLP, where he primarily represented private equity, emerging growth, and tech and life sciences clients. Prior to joining Feinberg Hanson, Tom spent time as in-house corporate counsel at a tech company in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Tom has been admitted to the Massachusetts and California bars.
