Patrick Johnson provides legal advice to emerging companies and their founders, investors and advisors in order to facilitate growth and successfully navigate complex transactions.

experience

Patrick helps companies raise money, form strategic partnerships, and ultimately complete successful exits. He has worked on deals of all sizes and across a broad spectrum of industries. He also provides counsel on everyday needs of start-up companies including commercial agreements and issues related to corporate governance.

A few of Patrick’s recent transactions include:

  • Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (NYSE: RBA), a global auctioneer of industrial equipment, on its approximately $750 million acquisition of IronPlanet, Inc. The transaction also encompassed a strategic alliance agreement with Caterpillar, Inc.
  • IneoQuest Technologies, Inc., a video analytics-focused software company, in its acquisition by Telestream, Inc.
  • Pivotal Software, Inc., in connection with an approximately $253 million financing round led by Ford Motor Company
  • Biogen, Inc. (NASDAQ: BIIB), in its spin-off of its global hemophilia business into Bioverativ, Inc. Patrick worked to accomplish the domestic restructuring associated with the transaction

Prior to joining Feinberg Hanson in July 2017, Patrick was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom where he practiced M&A, corporate and securities law.
